This week we bring you a sobering BLAST FROM THE PAST that reminds us all of the inherent dangers of motorsport. The place was Manfeild in October of 1976. Red Dawson was in his Chevrolet Monza battling with Frank Gardner in the Chevrolet Corvair when he had his horrific accident. Dawson was still in the car when Terry Marshall took this photograph – he recovered, but never raced again.
