We are currently in France on a Peugeot launch (and to attend the Paris Motor Show) and today we were lucky enough to have a guided tour of the Musee de l’Aventure Peugeot (Peugeot museum) in Sochaux.
While it was full of utterly fantastic cars (and tools, weapons, coffee grinders, bicycles, bombs, sewing machines, kitchen appliances and many other things Peugeot have made) the highlight – for me, at least – was the chance to see, photograph and lay hands on the fantastic 405 T16 that Ari Vatanen drove to victory in the Pikes Peak hillclimb in 1988, setting a record time and producing one of the best motorsport films of all time – the magnificent “Climb Dance” in the process.
Today we bring you a gallery of pics of the car and, in case you haven’t seen it – or just want an excuse to watch it again – the visual magnificence that is Climb Dance.
Enjoy!
