Remember the RV that took the brunt of a Tyrannosaurus’s anger in Jurassic Park: The Lost World? Well, it is looking set to live again, if a bunch of enthusiasts get their way – and you can help!
The brilliant AFICIONAUTO YouTube series has featured vehicles from the Jurassic Park series before, but has just released the 4th part of its series on the RV that nicely coincides with an effort to fund the restoration by the JPRV Restoration Team over on the GoFundMe.com website.
From the website:
This adventure began with an eighty two mile trek through the blazing desert climbing hill after hill. A single man endured roasting heat in a sealed oven on wheels in an attempt to move this living time capsule to its new home during triple digit temperatures. Join this adventure by stepping through the lens of a professional team of reality television producers. Working on projects such as “Ice Road Truckers”, amongst others. This team was hand selected from the best Los Angeles has to offer. Leaving the glitz and glamour of Hollywood behind, this team has elected to spend the next few months breathing life back into this much loved dinosaur.
The RV will be updated to support a mobile team and it will function as an exploration museum for kids and dino lovers alike, while maintaining the prop as used on screen. There are a number of different funding levels available, ranging from US$5 up to the one-only US$10,000 level that gets you not only a camping expedition in the finished RV, a scale model of it and all the team gear that comes with lower level donations, but also the original back door off the RV!
