Ferrari has a new home in New Zealand following the opening of an all-new showroom in Auckland this week.
Situated at a very high profile site on Manukau Road, Epsom, not far from the legendary CCS showroom that was the home of Ferrari for many years, the all-new 450 square metre state of the art showroom, Continental Car Ferrari, will house a number of new Ferrari vehicles including the all-new 488 Spider, California T ‘Handling Speciale’, F12berlinetta and the forthcoming GTC4Lusso V8 and V12 models.
Ferrari and Continental Car Services have a 43 year history together in New Zealand, with next year marking both CCS’s 50th anniversary and Ferrari’s 70th anniversary.
Ferrari Far East & Middle East CEO, Dieter Knechtel, Ferrari Australasia CEO, Herbert Appleroth, and Continental Car Ferrari Dealer Principal, Tony Elsmore were all present at the opening celebrations, but it has to be said that the most “special” special guest was an utterly gorgeous 1966 330 GT 2+2.
Knechtel said, “It is with great pleasure that we launch this stunning new showroom. In the heart of Auckland, this new showroom will not only be the landmark of the area, but also an important pillar in the Ferrari dealer network globally. The significant investment made by Continental Car Ferrari proves the strength and confidence of our partner in the Ferrari brand and the future. We are excited to see that level of growth in one of the most dynamic cities in the region.”
Herbert Appleroth, CEO of Ferrari Australasia added, “Ferrari’s New Zealand customers have a long and significant affinity with Ferrari. Some of our clients here are amongst the most respected collectors in the world, with many of our special limited editions making their way here. In addition, we have already noted that 50 percent of our New Zealand clients are new to the Ferrari brand. We expect that this new state of the art facility will only continue to strengthen Ferrari’s position with our New Zealand customers.”
As well as the new showroom, CCS has also invested heavily in a new workshop facility, as well as a future expansion of its Christchurch service centre.
