Your mind will try and reject this video – it simply looks wrong and, at first, you will assume it is being played backwards.
It isn’t.
This strangely spectacular accident happened in practice for the GP3 round at Spa this weekend. The driver, 20 year-old Konstantin Tereshchenko, was making his debut when he decided that his planet needed him, so he had to leave. Or at least try to.
He was unhurt, apart from – as the newsreader so helpfully points out – a “slight bit of fire on his clothing”…
