While the Alfa Romeo 4C is a thoroughly stunning-looking little car – it was recently voted “Most Beautiful Car of 2013” – and quite frequently stops traffic with those looks, it will now officially be holding up a different sort of traffic.
The 4C has just been announced as the official Safety Car for the 2014 season of the World Touring Car Championship. The multi award-winning sports car will be finished in a special livery and will be on the grid for every World Touring Car Championship race during the 2014 season, beginning with the Moulay El Hassan Circuit of Marrakech (Morocco) on 12 and 13 April.
The decision is a result of the Alfa Romeo 4C being named “Most Beautiful Car of 2013” at the 29th International Automobile Festival of Paris. The 4C was the winner of the poll organised, in partnership with the International Automobile Festival (IAF), on Eurosport’s international website network. Eurosport produces and promotes the FIA WTCC through its Eurosport Events division.
