Well, they do say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you would have to be a wee bit of a soulless wasteland of a human being, lacking in even the most basic of essential human emotions to not appreciate the elegance of the pretty little Alfa Romeo 4C.
Which is probably why it was selected as the “Most Beautiful Car of the Year 2013” at the International Automobile Festival of Chamonix in France recently.
The little Alfa sports car dominated the voting, drawing in 41 percent of all votes and leaving clear space between it and the other finalists, with the BMW 4 Series coming second with 25% followed by the Mercedes-Benz CLA (22%) and the Mazda3 (12%).
The latest award capped off a successful year of winning awards for the 4C, which also snagged “Car of the Year 2013” by that respected motoring publication FHM magazine in the UK, as well winning the “Coup de cœur 2013′” award of Automobile Magazine in France and being named “Auto Trophy 2013” by the readers of the German magazine Auto Zeitung.
The 4C is set to arrive in New Zealand late in the 2nd quarter of this year, but only “in limited numbers due to its exclusivity” according to Alfa distributor Fiat Chrysler NZ Limited and pricing will be released closer to its launch.
