He may well be a grumpy old shit, but Terry Marshall is also one of the best motorsport photographers there is. He has sent us a collection of shots from the two first Toyota Racing Series and NZV8 rounds at Timaru and Invercargill and, quite frankly, they were just too damn good not to do […]

Of the major series this summer, only the TRS has come up with worthwhile fields and this alone will make the series successful. the way the TRS people have gone about their job is a credit to them. Many of us will be able to remember the time when motor racing in New Zealand was […]
The following is a press release from the V8 SuperTourers that effectively answers a lot our questions about the future of the NZV8s. An entirely new Board of directors has been overwhelmingly elected to NZ Vee Eight Entrants Group Ltd, the company representing the interests of NZV8 race car owners. The previous directors stood down […]
WHY HIGHLANDS?: By now, it’s probably pretty well understood that Highlands Motorsport Park near Cromwell is not going to be just another motor racing circuit on the Ruapuna, Levels, Teretonga loop. The news today that Shane van Gisbergen is quitting the Australian V8 scene and returning home is obviously rocking the V8 Fans to the core. But below is a piece I wrote two weeks ago for the NZ Motor Racing Weekly email letter. I believe the glory days are over — and not just because […]
McLaren have posted the entire BBC documentary “How to Build a Supercar” on their YouTube page. If you do not watch this then there is something wrong with you. It is fantastic, possibly more for showing the way Ron Dennis’ obsessive mind works than the actual car, but even that is fascinating!
