Voice control. It’s just great.
Of course, by “great” we actually mean “frustrating, annoying and not worth the effort”.
But we are sure it will get better. Still, until that point in the far-off future, we will still find it far easier to simply push a few buttons instead. A damn fine example of how it is easier to simply push a few buttons is Apple’s Siri voice control on its iOS devices. Like all other voice control systems, it sucks. Especially if you don’t have an American accent. Which we in New Zealand tend not to have.
Anyway, this is what would almost certainly happen if we let the voice control virus spread to actually controlling the car. It would not be pretty. But Apple would still make some very pretty ads saying how awesome it was…
