Formula One fans are well used to brightly-coloured, noisy bird-brains making inane predictions that make no sense whatsoever to anyone with a grain of knowledge about the sport – after all, Eddie Jordan has been around for ages now.
But this time it is a bit different – the noisy bird-brain is actually a bird!
Brilliant F1 YouTube channel Pole Position went to the Jurong Bird Park in Singapore to get the at-least-as-sensible-as-Eddie-Jordan opinion of Ippy, a talking scarlet macaw in advance of this weekend’s GP.
Ippy was only given a choice of the obvious front-runners, but his choices are solid. Especially if the race throws up a few unexpected surprises, which is entirely possible at Singapore.
