Lamborghini Veneno debuted in most ridiculous (and fitting) way possible

December 4, 2013

The Lamborghini Veneno is utterly ridiculous.

So it is completely fitting that it was debuted in the most ridiculous way possible: in Abu Dhabi, on an aircraft carrier.

The “reveal” (of a car we have already seen literally millions of pictures of) took place on an Italian aircraft carrier (Italy has a navy?) Nave Covour yesterday in a completely over-the-top ceremony for a car that Lamborghini will only build nine examples of. But that is fine, because the Veneno is completely over-the-top.

In fact, if you will excuse the language, the Veneno is just completely fucking ridiculous.

Which is why we love it. And it is why we love Lamborghini for building it. Very few manufacturers could get away with building such a silly car and even less would actually bother. Thank you, Lamborghini, for keeping the 13 year-old boy in us all utterly ecstatic AND for giving actual 13 year-old boys something to cover their walls with. You are awesome.

The video of the reveal is expectedly awesome, except for the limp round of applause afterwards. Where are the explosions? The cheers? The scantily-clad women? You have your die-hard following of 13 year-old boys to consider, remember…
